Just 4 kms from the CBD, you can buy a brand new one bedroom apartment from $380,000 or a two bedroom from $463,000, both with parking. A little further out, but still only 8 kms from the CBD you can purchase three bedroom townhouses starting from $478,500.
Geographically and with a similar demand on housing, Sydney's equivalent would be Erskineville or Marrickville. Price wise, you'd be looking at double the purchase price, or more, if you were buying similar properties in these Sydney suburbs.
