Welcome to The 30-Year Plan for Greater Adelaide
The South Australia’s Strategic 30-Year Plan for Greater Adelaide describes their plan for how Adelaide should grow to become more liveable, competitive and sustainable. It will guide the long-term growth of the city and its surrounds over the next 30 years.
Adelaide is one of the world’s most liveable cities and a region that’s ever evolving. It all began with an inspired vision for an urban grid with generous boulevards and thriving public squares. This vision lives on today, growing to complement our unique landscapes and make Adelaide the great place that it is.
Greater Adelaide represents much more than just the CBD though, stretching from Victor Harbor in the south all the way to Kapunda in the north and beyond. Playing to our strengths, the city offers a gateway to internationally acclaimed food and wine producers.
Living Adelaide is a 30 year Urban Development Plan into infrastructure investment including Health, Education, Transports, Sports and Entertainment, Defence, Innovation, Business and Employment Nodes. This plan also includes house development with infill and higher density development, open space that is useable, accessible, and connected with housing diversity and affordability. It’s a plan to grow 30km to the north and south then grow in and up.
The South Australian government has committed to investing over $12.1 billion in infrastructure projects over the next four years

Hectorville is an inner-city suburb within the City of Campbelltown, approximately 8km from the Adelaide CBD. Hectorville’s broad property appeal can be attributed not only to accessibility, but also the high amenity of the suburb. To the east, the retail cluster on Glynburn Rd provides retail services for the surrounding region and also contains a large number of commercial businesses, providing opportunities for local employment. Consistent with Adelaide’s leading approach towards public open space, Hectorville contains a number of parks and reserves that contributes to the high level of environmental amenity within the suburb. Denis Morrisey Park and the adjacent Four Paws Dog Park provide high quality public green space within a walkable distance of most homes in Hectorville.
By modern standards Hectorville is geographically small, but is almost entirely comprised of residential dwellings that contributes to a strong community feeling.
Similarly to many inner-city suburbs in Adelaide, Hectorville has a distinctly suburban character with many older houses having undergone renovation and renewal by new, young residents.
Inner Adelaide is renowned for its attractive streetscapes and highly liveable neighbourhoods, and Hectorville is no exception with green, highly walkable suburban streets and easy access to the inner-city and employment areas.
Hectorville’s proximity to the inner-city is a key asset, providing easy access to entertainment, leisure and retail facilities within the CBD and enhancing opportunities for residents to work closer to where they live. Hectorville’s property outlook is positive, with strong fundamental drivers
